Digital Art Exhibition
My digital art exhibition, “Catching Rainbows: A Digital Metamorphosis” is currently on display in the Cafe Gallery at the Maidstone Museum. Entry is free and you can enjoy a slice of homemade cake and a coffee or some lunch at the same time.
This is the final week, so hurry and pop by if you haven’t had chance to see it yet.
The images in my exhibition are for sale as limited edition, signed, mounted, fine art prints, and two of the images on sale are there to raise awareness for wildlife conservation, so the profits from these sales will be split between The Wildlife Heritage Foundation and The Aspinall Foundation. You can visit Howletts & Port Lympne Reserves for a great family day out. There is information on both organisations, along with collection pots alongside the wildlife images, so please donate any spare change to help ensure that future generations can enjoy our wonderful wildlife.
The exhibition features a variety of subjects, from newborn baby fine art, to landscapes, fruit and fantasy children’s portraits. Several of the images formed part of my panel of images for my Craftsman with the Guild of Photographers, and I am the first person in the UK to have achieved this in digital art photography. Also on display is a selection of products which are available for clients to choose as products for their images from a photo session with me.
My sessions range from £125 – £175 for the shoot, basic editing and 4 digital images. Simple fine art editing (e.g. baby on a flower) is an extra £50 fee with a £20 print credit for any wall product.
Bespoke artwork featuring your family can be commissioned. Prices start from £1200. This includes a consultation to plan and discuss ideas and we will work to form a piece of art unique to you and your family. Along with this we will also discuss what to wear, props, make up, etc and I will provide a style board with recommended purchases for you. Leading up to the portrait session which will include shots for your art piece will will have regular contact to ensure your requirements are met. Finally the price includes 4 digital portrait images, your bespoke art piece fully edited and a large wall product of your art piece. This can be any product from my range from a framed canvas to a stunning digital art (as seen at my exhibition – central Peacock child image in the photo below). The orb is an amazing, top quality product, guaranteed to have the wow factor and be a talking point amount your friends.
Unfortunately, I have not been very well during February, so haven’t been at the exhibition as much as I would have liked, but I did have a “meet the artist” session last Saturday, and was photographed with my images for the Kent Messenger. It was nice to chat to people, and especially to inspire kids, some of whom were fascinated by my work.
I had a wonderful comment from someone who visited my exhibition, so I thought I would end by sharing it.
“Your work is outstanding totally totally outstanding, seeing your captures to the naked eye shows the true beauty that a web page can’t produce. Thank you Imelda I feel inspired. I urge others that if you get a chance try get to the exhibition you won’t be sorry”
